1st November 2024 – Nyeri County

Trailblazers VC stormed into the new season with a powerful display of skill and resilience, conquering two out of three challenging matches and collecting a solid six points out of a possible nine. Despite unexpected turns, like the absence of Kenya Forest Service (KFS) in our opener, we surged forward, showing exactly why we’re a force to be reckoned with. Our journey through this first leg has been fueled by fierce dedication, strategic teamwork, and unwavering faith.

The first day of action saw us eagerly anticipating our opening fixture against KFS, but with the team not honouring the match, we turned our focus to the next game on the schedule. The clash against Prisons Kenya was intense from the first serve, with both teams displaying top-level tenacity. We put up a strong fight, clinching the second set (19-25), but ultimately fell short with a final score of 3-1 in favour of Prisons Kenya (25-21, 19-25, 25-15, 25-20).

Undeterred by the setback, we approached Day 2 with renewed focus and determination. Our first match of the day, against Kenya Army, was a showcase of our team’s synergy and strategic play. Dominating from the onset, we secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-18, 26-24), a result that bolstered both our confidence and our standing in the league.

Building on that momentum, our second match of the day took us head-to-head with fierce rivals AP Kenya in what proved to be a dynamic and thrilling encounter. Trailblazers emerged victorious once again, closing out the match 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 18-25, 25-18). The team’s adaptability and persistence shone brightly, allowing us to clinch another three points and finish the first leg on a high note.

Our quest through the opening leg has been nothing short of inspiring, and we’re deeply grateful for the support surrounding us. Our thanks go first and foremost to God for granting us the strength and resilience to compete at our best. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated players and technical team for their relentless drive, our media team for the outstanding coverage, and, last but not least, our Founder, whose numerous sacrifices continue to fuel our journey and inspire us to reach new heights.
