Trailblazers Volleyball Club has every reason to celebrate as two of their outstanding players, Eugene Okello and James Mutero, have earned a call-up to the National Men’s Volleyball Team, fondly known as “WAFALME.” The Kenya Volleyball Federation’s executive recently unveiled the 21-man provisional squad, a selection that received the approval of the technical bench, which includes Team Manager Alfred Chedotum, Gideon Tarus, David Lung’aho, Sammy Mulinge, and Elisha Aliwa.
Eugene, a first-year student at Zetech University pursuing Information Technology, has impressed both fans and coaches with his exceptional performance as a middle blocker in his maiden season in Kenya’s Top Tier league with Trailblazers Volleyball Club. His agility, powerful blocks, and ability to read the game have caught the attention of the national team’s coaches.
