Trailblazers Volleyball Club is proud to announce that two of its star players, Luke Opeto and Julliard Mbappe, have safely arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in the FIVB Level II Coaching Course. The week-long course, which commenced on September 19, 2024, marks a significant milestone not just for the duo, but for the entire Trailblazers Volleyball Club.

After enduring long hours of travel, Opeto and Mbappe arrived just in time for the first class, demonstrating their commitment to both personal and professional growth. Their participation in this internationally recognized coaching program is part of a strategic plan by Trailblazers’ management to transition players into coaching and leadership roles once they retire from active play.

“This move isn’t just about growing individual skills, it’s about preparing the future of our club,” remarked the club’s Team Manager. “By empowering our players with coaching knowledge, we’re ensuring that the Trailblazers’ legacy continues, both on and off the court.”

The FIVB Level II Coaching Course is designed to equip participants with advanced coaching skills, focusing on tactics, player management, and game strategies. It is the next step up for those who have already completed the Level I course, and it opens doors to coaching at higher levels of competition, including international tournaments.

For Opeto and Mbappe, this journey is not only about expanding their horizons as players-cum-coaches but also about setting an example for their teammates and future volleyball enthusiasts. Their dedication is a testament to the club’s motto: “Dream, Believe, Practice, Triumph.”

The entire Trailblazers team, from management to players and fans, stands behind Opeto and Mbappe, cheering them on as they pave the way for a new generation of leadership within the sport. As they immerse themselves in this transformative experience, the club looks forward to seeing how their newfound knowledge will benefit both their personal growth and the club’s development in the seasons to come.

We wish them the best of luck as they continue their journey toward becoming world-class coaches.
